Exactly, what does it mean when graduates throw their hat up? I don't know the name of the hat, all I know is that they throw it up on graduation day.

I think when they throw them in the air, it is just a sign of celebration for their accomplishments and that all the hard work is over Men and women graduating from the military academies do the same thing with their uniform hats. They will no longer need their hats because the ones that go with student uniforms are not the same as the ones that go with regular military uniforms. Some schools have forbidden the tossing of mortar boards because their sharp corners could actually injure someone if it hit an eye. Either tossing the mortar boards was not a tradition when I was in school or it would have been meaningless, since my high school graduation was held indoors, so even a woosy toss would have just bounced off the ceiling at right back at the "tossee." (Also, until recent years, graduates would rent their caps and gowns and usually could not collect their real diplomas until they had a receipt that showed the cap and gown had been returned. If we had tossed the caps, they might have been damaged, so we would have had to pay for them before getting diplomas.)"

Any suggestions on how to wrap a hat up as a present? I already have a few ideas in my head but I just wanted to see what other people think is the best way to wrap up a hat :)

But I'm sure that if you bent it long and hard enough it will shape that way as well. Might work better if you wet it a bit first."

Why can't they sue you for letting a bunch of balloons up into the sky? It IS littering. Eventually they pop and come back down to the earth where they land in someone's yard or the ocean and kill a poor sea animal who tries eating the balloon. Sometimes people tie messages to hundreds of balloons and let them fly away so another person will find them. Sometimes they also let go of tons of balloons at graduations when everyone throws their hats up. Couldn't some organization sue them for releasing all those balloons in the air?

My hockey skates are getting small and i need new ones are tblades right fro me? my skates are small and are heavy im looking for somthing lighter and faster i read some stuff and seen that the blades hat up and the skates are realy light is this true?

Lets go Pens ! (: replied: "The t-blades were once popular, but then they died down. I personally hate the T-blades. They make really loud obnoxious sounds when you skate when you grind into the ice. And you always have to pay money to replace the blades. Its easier just to get them sharpened. The t-blades holders also broke easily for my friend, she used them for about a month and then bought different skates. You don't need to go out and pay 400 dollars for One95 skates, its not going to change your game dramatically. I play on a national bound team and use a pair of CCM vector V6's which are about a hundred dollars. Their light weight, sturdy and comfortable. Don't get the 400 dollar skates especially if you are still growing! Check out the skates that are slightly above average, their still light and they get the job done."

wefkjwvhv replied: "dont get t-blades.. they not only mess up your skate stride but are also expensive.. you have to replace t-blades like once a month and they are like $30 a pair.. i have the s-15 hockey skates and those skates are really light and those are probably the best skates if you want light ones. You can probably find a pair of s-15's for like under $400"

Your feet are still growing, therefore you are still young (teen?). You are young therefore you are still growing and putting on weight (muscle + fat). You are most likely average build, am I right? T-Blades were once popular because many pros wore them a while back. The problem is that T-Blades are only good for large, heavy skaters. The mere weight of the player si what contributes to the effectiveness of the skate. The heavier you are, the more the skates will dig into the ice and allow you to skate better/faster. T-Blades are not recommended for younger players as they do not weigh enough to use the potential of the skate. A friend of mine had t-blades when we were 14. He was about 5'10" and 140 lbs and was pretty slow. He got new skates (Rbk's) and actually improved his skating tremendously. I would not recommend T-Blades. Id go for a pair of either CCM Tacks, Bauer Vapors, Easton Stealths or Reebok 7ks. Although the best skates are probably made by Graf."
